So far I have never been able to get all holes to produce a fully developed plant, even with smaller plants. There are always a few that take over and at least two that remain like babies never catching up. Throwing in something small like dill next to leafy greens resulted in the dill being overwhelmed and not amounting to anything. Basil takes over everything.

A few questions please: (1) Does the Slim model also pump/trickle water from the top down onto the sponges? Or does it circulate water within the tank like the IDOO systems? (2) As a practical matter, in terms of real world results, do you think there's a difference between those two approaches? In other words, should that be an important factor to consider? (3) Though this is a review of just the AeroGarden units, if you ignore features like nutrition and water reminders and look instead at the core features like spacing, light height, etc, which system would you recommend regardless of brand?
