My grandson is living in Thailand, & married a local woman. When he wanted to buy real estate, he had to put everything in his wife's name because foreigners are not allowed to buy RE in their country. They're right. It is the height of stupidity to allow foreigners to buy land in our country. We should forcibly buy it all back, & not allow that to happen again. Our land is 'our' land.

During the crash of 08, my dad and his friends flipped condemned houses after they lost their contracting jobs. After finishing all the houses for the real estate agency, dad asked who was going to buy the houses. The agency said, point blank, that Chinese companies were buying the houses. My dad was aghast and asked how that was legal. Agency said it was thanks to Clinton. Dad and his friends never worked for this agency ever again.
