StarLink now has the USB-C wire for sale. It’s 5m (16’.5”) long and costs $31.00 USD. It has a red power indicator light in it to show if the required 100W 5A 20V power supply is good. For the Mini Only.

Always a good idea to check polarity of a random barrel jack. Usually the tip is positive and the sleeve is 0V, but not always.

My son works for a Company in Canada that works in Remote areas, they have the larger Star Link systems on on a Frame on the Pickup Bed, they have no problems with Communications. He also uses it when Camping. My neighbour next door shares a connection with me, I pay him $50 per month and it’s the best Internet connection I’ve had, we live in a remote community, in the mountains of BC, best Internet service I have had, compared to Telus and Rodger’s.

Appreciate the unbiased review. I've seen people who either absolutely love Starlink or absolutely hate it.

Brilliant, thank you. I've had my Starlink dishy for 3 years now, set it up myself (75 year old) so easy. I now fully understand it by watching your video Thinking of getting a mini just because it will be less power to run on a solar charger in power cuts. I love that it has no separate router. Thanks for the video. I live in a valley in the foothills of the Pyrenees France 🇫🇷

I’m totally going to try this out near my farmhouse, if starlink ever comes to India. I’ve tried many things with cellular network like hooking 4G-5G sim with Wi-Fi routers, using Wi-Fi repeaters throughout the different rooms. So this was fun to watch.

It was this exact video that convinced me to finally get it, I'm so glad I did and have you to thank! I also fell down the etsy accessory rabbit hole which is an entirely different fun game to play to!

I have a Mini and love it, and use it on my Cybertruck in remote areas in Montana and the west. Can I use the Ubiquity U7 outdoor without the network gateway in order to give me a long range wifi signal? If not, why not?

If you are looking for another power source for the Starlink Mini I purchased at Best Buy the CyberPower 160W Power Inverter. It's a Cigarette adapter to AC and USB. I've tested it with my Lion Energy Cub Go, Safari LT and Safari ME.. All works great.

You're doing much better job about your descriptions the other guy I watched did not go into any of the detail and all I kept was whining about latency and yet you described how the guy had it set wrong thank you

The wifi range will double when its raised off the ground. Good job

it's 5ghz wifi, you had it on the ground, and the ground was soaking up most of your wifi. If you had it even 2-3 feet off the ground, your wifi would of went 500+ feet in every direction.

Thanks for showing how it fits in your backpack! That gives a much better perspective on the size.
