I love having copper pennies, very durable and practical for any collector. I keep any copper penny in decent/presentable condition as nowadays each copper penny is worth 3 or 5 cents each in regular circulated condition. I recommend any one to collect as many copper pennies as you can as they're worth 300% or more than face value.

Nice stash! I've only got a couple of pounds, but I only get them by sorting through my pocket change, no real effort involved.
I give mine a bath in household ammonia - gets all the brown oxide off and makes them look like treasure :)
You just swish them in the ammonia for a few seconds and then rinse them off. Really easy to do, and makes your stash look nice and clean.

I was going to give you a hard time for calling two boxes of pennies a hoard and then the camera changed to the bucket of copper on the floor... very nice! I have a few copper coins as well but mine are mostly bank rolls 1970 and back about 80, 000 coins and several hundred pounds of wheats. Nice Video thanks for sharing

How are they to be liquidated in an SHTF situation?

Are you familiar with the concept of Opportunity Cost?

lol i did this, when i dragged my big crate into the "bank" to cash them i was accosted by Barny Fife the security guard. I got enough cash to buy a 42 in led monitor and a desktop computer which im using now. :)

Do you check your copper pennies for valuable ones? There are some years that are very valuable. 1969S double die is worth over $20, 000.

Oh my mom had THOUSANDS of 1982 and below pennies. She put them in the large glass pickle jars....like the LARGE ones....till the glass broke! she probably had 5 at least. So I have live my entire life looking at penny dates LOL and I can not get rid of old pennies !

I save all my copper cents too! I thought it funny when you said "if there's hyperinflation I'll see big returns". I guess I see it differently.

If there is hyperinflation you may as well keep your cents and use them for trade instead of dollars. Same with silver, and gold.

StinkyCASH- Nice video, the only thing I noticed is because each penny is 95% copper, so your total number of pounds has to be times .95 in order to determine the accurate amount of copper in pounds. I also check my change as well as search penny rolls from the bank. 1982 pennies I weigh them to find the copper ones, and check for mint errors for all dates.

Interesting, would have never thought of this. Do you use the zinc pennies to buy more boxes?
