Traxxas XL5 Lipo mode

I just bought a 4000MAH lipo 3s battery. I still have a stock motor and setup I just changed the battery but it blinks green and red? It only steers, it doesn’t go forwards or backwards, any answer’s?

Difference btwn 1:07 and 2:38?! You hold button the same... but at 1:07 it changes esc modes, and at 2:38 change battery mode??

My brand new Traxxas (Bigfoot no.1) issonet react to eny thing tried this, and other thing and it not just cant do anything mine is just fast blinking red/green I was enable to get the 2 and the 3 bip, like in on traxxas site, but nothoing. Then I re binded with the controller, than guess what, the stereing work and still fast blinking the 2 color, so fast it is impossible to catch one.

Also with nimh battery no matter what 5-6 minutes and after 3 minuts it alrready lost the power. My battery in the controller is new, also I always use storager mode.
Ohh and one more thing, the Traxxas batter what was in the box, give me 4-5 solid meters and off.

I guess the esc is just bad, doesn't work and also this one probably sitting years on the self and the battery and the esc is off now. I'm so mad bc is I send it back either I get a same old one or they say it is okay...I would tell them to try it with lipo and nimhon the pad it is okay just see if it works and how long the battery going.

What if the ESC keeps blinking red and green red and green after I hold the button down

I bought a 3s lipo gold bar battery and tried doing the same with my rustler and it wont work can some one help me, it stays flashing red and when hold to turn to lipo mode I'm only allowed to use my steering servo and no motors??
