NICE, THIS WAS VERY HELPFUL MY STAMPEDE HAD THE GREEN LIGHT ON AND KEPT SHUTTING OFF SO KNOW I CHANGED IT TO THE RED AND I GOT LONGER RUN TIME.

Great video man! Professional, informative, not dumb or annoying... Mine was blinking Green & Red w/a NiMh battery & ran fine w/a 2S Lipo. Baffleing, so on to Youtube I went. I was able to switch back to NiMh mode by just repeating the procees that you used to switch into Lipo mode. Good point about using the whole Nimh battery as well. AMain needs to give you a raise... or just hire me, I'll work there for free?! ;) It's looks dreadful :)

I've been looking at Traxxas vehicles as converting my HPI Savage .25 to electric would be pricey & make more sense to just get a brand new RTR. The Traxxas Slash 2WD comes with a nimh battery & XL-5 esc, but I wasn't too sure if I could run lipo batteries in the car also. This video helped out alot thanks

Can you help! This video was great and it helped me understand the XO five speed controller. Thank you very much. But I have an issue. It seems like my 2 Wheel Dr., Traxxas wrestler has higher speed and higher torque in reverse than it does going forward. Any thoughts? Thanks for all your help.

sorry but I'm trying to program this ESC xl5 on my son's monster truck addition I'm getting more speed in reverse then I am forward I did the race mode the training mode but still not getting enough throttle forwards

My esc tends to not want to reverse and reverses only when it wants to and also I program I to standard mode but it goes extremely slow

Someone gave me a Stampede, and I've had to tinker with it a little bit to get it put back together. Now all the parts are connected, the wheels turn when it is turned on, but squeezing the trigger won't make the car move. Can you help me diagnose the problem?

Everything i need to know. Got my first traxxas electric. Used to nitro. But anyway, bought lot set of rc's under 300. 1 nitro 4wd drifter, carpet car or pan car, bowie 4x4 truck, rustler with xl-1 and mini e-revo. Been building quite a few rc's over past 5yrs. With these electric ones going to traxxas esc xl-5 . with exception to the carpet car. Wanna go castle. Want this one to be crazy fast. Do have cpl question? What is the motor turn range for the xl-5? Also, is the titan 12t the stock motor for most traxxas with xl-5? What is the real difference between the titan 12t and the stinger 20t and a hpi 27t? Is the 27t usable with xl-5? Great information ty.

Just do what you did to put it in lipo mode...turn off esc then press and hold til solid red, then press and hold til the beep and youre good
