With the world's economic center of gravity shifting back east, the US share of the world's GDP has gone down from 40% (1960) to about 22% today. By the end of the current decade the US share of the world's total GDP is set to go down even lower as countries in the Asian region are set to continue to have booming economies and enjoy from ever increasing inter-regional trade. Very few if any of the large number of foreign companies that have a presence in the Asian region plan to decrease their footprint in the Asian region. In fact most of them see the Asian region as vital to their future growth. And many of these companies are from the US.
Facts and substance matters. No matter what Michael Pillsbury the so claimed 'china expert' says or what Rupert Murdoch's Fox News right wing propaganda machine says, the fact is that the world's economic center of gravity is indeed shifting back east.
