The father and aunt of Rep. George Santos, R-N.Y., were two guarantors of his $500,000 bond after he was charged with more than a dozen federal crimes. NBC News' Garrett Haake reports from Capitol Hill.

Someone on Reddit theorized hours ago that it would be his family members, but none of them would be aware of these guarantees under their names. Which is why he was fighting so hard to not make them public. Dude was probably spot on.
