I can’t believe it’s not a bi directional usb c, that’s what made me choose the river 2 over the ac2a and I think I am obsessed with that feature on power stations, especially ones like the Dji 500, that can charge via USB c and yet have inverters capable of cooking.

This thing is tempting. I have an original EcoFlow River which is still awesome but a little bulky for car camping and having available to charge devices. The lower profile looks perfect.

Thanks for explaining the effect of the GaN circuit with the power saving numbers.

I also like the "built-in" handle of the River 3. The fact that the handle was sticking out the back of the River 2 disqualified it from my list of choices because it was wasted space for my project which has an extremely limited space for the power station.

I would love to see a head-to-head video about the Ecoflow River 3 vs the Bluetti AC2A.

over PANELING is perfectly safe. I routinely use up to 300% over paneling with my Ecoflow devices. I own 7 gen1 Ecoflow devices and have been doing this for years without issue. Over VOLTING is the issue, not over paneling.

What would happen if you plugged in a 300w inverted into car outlet and charge the 3 with AC?

They should have 2 USB-C ports and 1 USB-A. In 2024 I never seem to have enough USB-C ports. The only time I use USB-A is if I'm charging something with a legacy micro-USB port on it.

I disagree, the fremo x700 is right at $200 and offers a lot more bang for your buck, but it's not from a huge brand. The only downside is the slower charging and external charging brick/power supply. But it's 662wh for $200 with a higher wattage capacity.

Its not a no name brand, but it also isn't a well known brand either.

I'm waiting for a small unit that has NO AC outlets. When going camping, I don't need an AC outlet.
