The BIG UPDATE:
The compact power station design often results in shorter battery runtime, but the RIVER 3 successfully addresses this pain point by providing up to 15 hr longer runtime for less then 100W appliances like Wi-Fi routers, lights, fans, and air pumps.
This is supported by the innovative usage of GaN, a new-generation semiconductor material of higher electron conduction efficiency than traditional silicon-based material. By replacing the traditional silicon-based materials with GaN materials, RIVER 3 maximizes power efficiency and reduces energy loss. With GaN, RIVER 3 can provide 92% longer runtime for less than 100W applications than other 300Wh power stations on the market, adding up to an extra 15 hours.

In this video, we dive deep into the Ecoflow River 3, one of the most talked-about portable power stations on the market. Join us as we explore its features, performance, and design to answer the burning question: Is this the BEST power station for your needs?

We'll cover everything from its impressive battery capacity, charging capabilities, and port options to its lightweight and compact design, making it perfect for camping, road trips, and emergency backup. Get insights on how the Ecoflow River 3 compares to other power stations, its user-friendly interface, and real-world performance tests.

Whether you’re a power user, outdoor enthusiast, or just looking for a reliable energy source, this review will help you make an informed decision. Don't forget to stay tuned for our final verdict and see if the Ecoflow River 3 lives up to the hype!

Why would i buy a 200wh power station when everything else in the catergory and price range is 300wh.

A few points I didn't mention in the video: The big changes is the fact they use Gallium Nitride so it increases the run time of devices under 100W by 2 times. It is widely used in power banks, but not power stations and the R3 is the only one using this Technology. Plus you can use it as a UPS system now.

It only has a single 3-prong (grounded) outlet? I was going to buy one to power my WiFi router and cable modem in case of power outage, but both require a grounded outlet. I guess I could plug a power strip into it and then plug the cable modem and router into the strip?

It looks like a little cpap machine. Anyways how do you think this compares to the anker c300 or c300dc???

There's plenty of better choices for less money. It has a smaller battery but costs as much or more than the older model river 2. Vtoman Jump 600x for example has 600 watts continuous and 1200 watts max with larger battery and other useful features for less money. People only buy an eco flow for the badge and the social media presence and because they haven't heard of other brands.

As a Ecoflow fan they really dropped the ball on this one. Low on power and short on C ports. The new Anker c300 blows this one out the water. I was expect a big change with this one.

I dont know whats the use case with me camping with this needing the "UPS" feature. Shore power disruption? Van life lacking solar? I honestly have those cheap 18650 powered "UPS" for my router/modem and if I need one for a PC or something, I bet the UPS would be cheaper.

Its too expensive for what it offers in capacity, if it was over 300-380wh it would make sense, like this it sounds like river 2 with extra bells and whistles, same charging speed from solar, same under 1 hour full charge, same 300w inverter.. just too expensive compared to others and i love EcoFlow i do own few of them running my 5th wheel, living in it

Not going to lie I just bought the Anker C300 AC and this power station feels a bit more compelling the fact it can run devices higher than 300w is pretty cool and would better fit my use cases unfortunately the C300 doesn't support loads higher than 300w so its kinda a hard pill to swallow seeing this power station coming out just a day after my C300 arrives and they are about the same price as when I bought it 🫠
