Cutting Carbon Emissions with Green Building Design

Green building design can reduce carbon emissions by reducing the energy needs of a building, and by using materials that require less emissions to produce or can serve as a carbon sink, like wood. Elizabeth Beardsley, Senior Policy Counsel for the US Green Building Council, explains some of the recent advances in green building materials and design.
