Got agree on those LS cars. I have one on my channel with 254k. They are amazing! Town cars too!

As a limo driver I would choose the grand Marquis over the town car but if you live in cold areas I would opt for a front wheel Buick .

Another power-packed informational video, especially for folks like me that have been "off the grid" entirely for some time believe it or not, as I've been living overseas for a long time, & haven't had to own a car all that time incredibly enough, but all good things must come to an end, as I get ready in the future to finally return to "The World".

get on Club Lexus forums, there are a LOT of Lexus LS owners there with 500-600K miles and at least two with 1 million+ miles!

To me market doesn't lie, BMW, Mercedes, Audi most models lose 90% of their value in 10 years, this is not me these are the prices on Autotrader, etc. e.g. 2008 MB GL550 new 100k in 2018 only as low as $8k with only 150k miles, Toyota Land Cruiser 2008 new 80k in 2008, in 2018 $25k minimum with 250k+ miles. We can talk about reliability of each brand but market doesn't lie. We can talk about cons and pros of each brand, but when a brand loses 90% of their value in only 10 years, there is a reason for that and again that price is set not by individual but market. I understand there are individual experiences with MB, BMW, Audi with 400k miles+ reliable, but I am looking at overall picture and when I see prices on MB on Autotrader that cost 100k just 10 years ago and now they are less than 10k, there is probably reason for that.

I drive a 2008 Lexus LS460 with 97k miles best car I've ever owned. Smooth as hell and built like a tank. I'll never own any brand except Lexus.

Matt Farah's LS400 is approaching 1 million miles on original engine. Is leaking but still doing great.

Toyota Avalon, Buick Le Sabre and Park Avenue, and Mercury Grand Marquis are luxury cars? I thought they had to have a name like Lexus, Cadillac and Lincoln.

Thanks for your great work. The channel is gonna grow.

There's a lot of people out there who don't have $ or want pay a lot for a used car and being reliable is the key.

When you work paycheck to paycheck 1 major repair could be the start of financial ruin for many = no car, no job, no rent, etc.

The big problem with including the panther bodies in this is *operating hours* . Seriously, they are almost like cheating lol!!! None of the other cars can touch panthers for total operating time. Most fleet panthers idled 5x the hours that they drove (police, Fed, taxi). A 300K fleet panther body could have easily seen the wear of a million mile engine. This measure of durability is factored into medium duty trucks and any study including popular fleet vehicles *must* account for it. There is a very good reason they stuck around for so long and it’s not fleet subsidies. It’s longevity for money.

I have a 2004 Lexus LS430 with 317, 000 Mi and it is just like a brand new one I expect I'll get close to six to seven hundred thousand miles out of it I will have to have a timing belt I've had regular service done on it and it has lasted forever

I believe many cars can go 300k+ miles, rebuilt engine/transmission, etc. Cars that can go 300k+ miles on original engine/transmission those to me that count.

Props for including the big Buicks and Ford Panthers in your list! These are reliable, cheap to buy, easy to find parts and easy to work on. Easily the most underrated used luxury cars around!

dank.
