Dive Rite is a top notch organization as is Divers Ready. I have been using dive Rite kits since 2015 and personally own 5 BP/W setups and a plethora of regs & odds & ends. Nothing flashy, only what you need.

James, I love your Videos, you do them short and simple. 99.9% I agree and fully support your statements.
Not spitting in the mask.
I do spit in my mask in over 25 years of diving. I will never buy such defog solution.
I clean my mask frequently. (2 - 3 times a Year) and never had anything growing inside.
I love your videos, keep ongoing please
Regards from Switzerland.

Human Bi Degradable Spit Is the only way to go, protect a Reef. I also never use the Boats Mask Rinse. I dip in the ocean or clear it once I jump in. agree with James, it can get nasty if you do not clean. Which is why I clean my mask every Sunday night. Bacteria is Gone.... All better.

James, never thought soap and water would work so well. After watching your tip on cleaning your mask I finally really cleaned mine. What I thought was age and sunlight causing the silicon to look foggy was just grease and dirt build up. Now it looks like a new mask!!
Thx

I'm also a spitter lol. Love the reviews; I dive a lot of Dive Rite gear, two BCDs, side mount regs, masks, and a canister light so I'm a huge fan of their gear and it's nice to see them getting some exposure from you!

The 155 is my Everyday mask and it’s never let me down. Dive Rite (and DGX) have been my go-to pretty much from the day I got my OW Cert. Great service and no BS product.

Can confirm the quality of Dive Rite, I recently got my hands on their rebreather and it's an amazing product. Great products made by great people. Big recommend on their gear. I'm gonna buy their ES170 mask soon for my O2ptima dives.

Another great way to store the mask is in the fin pocket- if you use jetfins or simular with plenty of space.

Thanks for the tips James. Sharing this to my daughter. She will only use spit for defogger, . She saw the two biologists in the "im sexy and I know it" video . She's a biology major so she'll appreciate the Petrie reference. Thanks again.

I thought I did what you said with my new mask. But, on my 1st dive with this new mask, it fogged up horribly. I am going back and cleaning it again... Thanks for the reminders!

I have corrective lenses in my mask. I use an Otter box to store my mask to protect the lenses from getting broken.
I also use a neoprene 'slap strap'.

Great tips for a starting diver like me! Would love to wear a frameless mask, but I can ‘t wear lenses. So am attached to my Mares X-vision with corrective lenses! I like them a lot! Good luck to the lucky girl or Guy!!
Keep that great content comming James!! 👌👌

Never tried a frameless mask sounds interesting, taking care of your mask does work I have two masks I bought in 1983 and still use them, just recently bought a newer mask just in case though, great giveaway

James! Great video as always and I have to admit they help keep me going during these dark dark very hard to dive times that the COVID crisis has blessed us with. With water temps plunging to the 10 degree mark, the diving season is coming to an end here in Germany (at least with my 7mm wetsuit) and as a fairly new diver do you have any tips for what to do during the off season? A dry suit is still too big of an investment for me (I just finished getting kited out for warmer waters) so I'll probably be confined to pool diving for the next six months. Beyond practicing my buoyancy in a local pool what does northern hemisphere diver do when the water gets to cold to dive?

Love your content and this in particular. I love masks, and mine espacially. I have right now about 4 Masks but I always go back to the first one I ever bought! Treat them good!
