VET APPROVED HOMEMADE + HEALTHY DOG FOOD RECIPE | COOKING FOR YOUR DOG // LoveLexyNicole

In this video I will be sharing with you how to make vet approved homemade, healthy dog food! This recipe works great for puppies and adult dogs! I will give you insight on why I took my dog off kibble and what changing his dog food to home made has done for his health! There are so many amazing benefits of giving your dog home dog food, it can decrease their chances of getting cancer and so much MORE! You will see how this home made dog food has CHANGED my dogs LIFE and took him off of medication!

I will be sharing with you exactly how I cook for my golden doodle puppy and my 6 year old yorkie! We make this recipe weekly since I am feeding it for two dogs! But if you have one it may last a lot longer. You can make huge batches at a time and store extras in the freezer for up to 4 months. As you can see in this video, both of my dogs absolutely LOVE this recipe.

**UPDATE: Not only do I give my pets supplements in addition to this recipe but I now add calcium into their dog food that I didn't do in this video. I linked the one I use below and I follow the directions on the back of the bottle it comes in to make sure my dogs are getting the recommend amount of calcium each day.

Just FYI, I was a vet tech for 16 yrs, if your dog has a sensitive stomach or trouble with digestion, it's perfectly fine to use white rice, it's easier to digest than brown rice. :)

I’m on my third week fallowing your recipe. It’s extremely rare for me to write responses for things I run across online. For starters I’ve been cooking for my dogs for years. They have always had some of the ingredients in your recipe. I also competed as a bodybuilder for many years so food prep is in my DNA. I owned a Instantpot so I figured I would give it a try. I have two dogs both rescues. Bella is a Pitbull. Roman is mostly German shorthair. Roman has always had stomach issues. It was always a three day event. One day good second day not so good third day he would spray paint the lawn. He would repeatedly need to get up sometimes three times a night🤬 From the first meal he has had zero digestive issues. I could not be more grateful and humbled. You simply are an Angel 😇. From the bottom of my heart. I thank you and equally important my dogs thank you. If any of you are skeptical feel free to ask me questions. This lady knows her stuff.

Thanks for this! One of my 12 year old Corgies has been diagnosed with kidney disease, but we're not certain of the severity. Recently, she stopped eating and clearly doesn't feel good. I prepared a batch of this today (using chicken) and she ate a full helping! Her energy level is up already! Thanks again!

Edit: The other Corg doesn't know this yet, but she's starting this tomorrow!

If using canned ingredients just make sure there is no salt added. Just for anyone who didn't know already

I started making my dogs food probably 2-3 weeks ago. He’s a senior, has only 2 teeth & since I adopted him in May he’s had gastric issues on and off (vomiting, refusing to eat, constipated) & I just feel so much better giving him this food as opposed to the canned food he had before. It’s not difficult at all with a crockpot and I don’t feel bad feeding him what I would honestly eat myself lol

Thank you so much for this recipe! I used to pay $160 twice a month for a dog food service that is almost identical in ingredients to this. I’ve been feeding my baby your recipe for the past month and he loves it!! You saved me so much money thank you so much!

Best recipe! Gave my 14 year old dog his health and youth back in 8 days!!! He was sad, antisocial, thin, and getting worse each day. $3k vet bill and scary bloody morning forced me to look for anything to help him. He was diagnosed with IBS. This diet has given him back to us. He is demanding good, 3 walks a day, is fluffy and has gained healthy weight. 🙏 THANK YOU! We tell everyone we know with ailing dogs to get them on this recipe!

I recommend not saying "stay" so many times. Say it once, wait for them to stay. If they don't, they don't get their food until they're calm and do a stay. If they do, then give them the food. Same with "sit" and any other commands.

Just a heads up ... Spinach has a lot of oxalates ... They absorb calcium ... best to use it only a couple times a week ... True for humans and reptiles also ... You might try collard, mustard or dandelion greens in stead ... Dandelion greens are so easy to grow yourself ... Kale is hard on the thyroid ... so use it only a couple times a week as well ... For extra calcium and omega 3's ... I add a can of sardines ... My dog does not do well with rice ... I use sprouted oatmeal instead ... Hope this is helpful ... Thanks for caring about our wonderful canine companions ... Sending lots of love your way.

This is awesome I could literally cry! I love to see people living their pets seriously they are our kids! I’m definitely going to make this... I have two shorkies but they are no more like 5lbs... I love my babies so much and I’m vegan and I been looking into only feeding them holistically as well and not this kibble crap that you can’t even pronounce the ingredients so I am so glad because h the is just made me so excited and comfortable. I can’t wait!

My dog was living in a car and I'm speculating the streets. I tried to feed him dog food 2 weeks ago and he got EXTREMELY ill within 2 days of doing it. He had Kennel Cough and the vet sent him home on Antibiotics and I went back to cooking for him. He was back to himself within a day of being on the meds and having my food. Every dog is different and not all of them can eat dog food. Thanks for sharing 🐾

Most people would be healthier if they ate like that.
