How Long Would It Take Us To Go To Jupiter?

Ever since Galileo pointed his telescope toward Saturn in 1610, it became an intriguing planet to explore. Over the years scientists have understood a great deal about our solar system and the universe. Despite this we are limited by our current technology in many ways. But these limitations will soon be overcome by humanity. One such limitation is interstellar travel. Even though we have sent many spacecraft to various places in our solar system and some even outside the solar system, sending humans is a whole another task. So let’s say we decided to explore this beautiful planet sometime in the future, how long will the journey take? Let’s talk about all that and more in this video.

Takes about 8 years with current spacecraft tech.
There. (Googled it in 5 seconds)

Anything past mars is impossible for humans to reach at the moment cause we need lots of food nd water. Plus it would be a dead trip unless we go to titan or something

We will never get out of our own Galaxy, let alone explore others. Space exploration is a fantasy, an expensive one at that.

We overestimate our technology and underestimate laws of nature.

love how you answered the question with many more questions

That depends on the route you take.
Do you want to take the scenic route or the fastest route.

We haven't hit the moon in over half a century, but hey, aim for the stars Skippy!

Going to Saturn would not be interstellar travel. It would be interplanetary travel.

I remember being disappointed as a kid to learn that there is no way to “land” on Saturn

We have sent nothing outside our solar system, even traveling a million miles a day it will take another 300 years to reach the inner region of the Oort Cloud and approximately another 30, 000 years to exit out of the Oort Cloud (which orbits the sun) entirely. Only then will Voyager 1 be out of our solar system and into interstellar space.

What is the absolute minimum time required to leave orbit around Saturn and attain orbit around Earth? Such a trip isn't easy at all.

Everyone currently on the planet will not be around anymore by the time humans can successfully travel to and back from Saturn.

It means man-made objects cannot yet travel "freely" even among inter-planetary space since their movements are mostly determined by gravitational force of other objects...

Got damn it just tell how long it take! That only takes 2 seconds

As far as manned missions, would it be beneficial to figure out a way to put the people into some kind of medically induced coma state until they arrive, in order to be able to reduce the amount of food and water required to bring along, and possibly slow the aging process down some?

Remember that Saturn has no solid surface and you would sink through its atmosphere. Saturn's atmosphere is very thick and its pressure increases the deeper you go. After a while, you would stop sinking and unfortunately be crushed by the high pressure deeper in Saturn's atmosphere.

Great video as always. It’ll be at least 50-100 years before we start sending people to mars let alone Saturn 🪐…there’s too many things to consider for trips like this. Literally how safe will it be? Lol you have to guarantee people and assure them they’ll be safe on their voyage to another planet or no one would go
