OS upgrade part-5 MultiThreading and Netmiko

In this series of videos, we will go over netmiko and how we used it to automate the process of OS upgrade. In our used case, we had to use the jump host to reach the devices. We were able to reduce significantly the time to perform OS upgrades. We will create two scripts one to copy the OS to the devices in the network, and the second is to perform a pre-check, reload the devices, and then perform a post-check.

In this video, we introduce MultiThreading, to be able to copy to multiple switches at a time which makes the process much faster.

Hi, I like the way you explained and make simple fir this complex process. Thanks to you for sharing, I subscribed your channel because I am feeling connected the way of explaining the things. Thank you for this nice contains. just to ask, is this possible to develope a HTML based GUI page for the users to just having all the option available and simply select the device from list and OS, underhood, it will perform the OS upgrade or pre/post check information?
