Placing a pin retained Dental amalgam filling
Показать описание
Dr. Rich goes old school after finding a box of dental pins in the back of his storage closet. He places a pin retained dental amalgam filling to replace a broken cusp on a molar tooth. Dental pins were used in the days before dental bonding to help large fillings stay in place. The dental pin is screwed into the tooth and used to lock the amalgam filling material into place. Since dental bonding became mainstream, dental pins have fallen out of use.
