While officials are urging people to take mass transit to avoid that congestion pricing toll, it’s not so easy in parts of the lower Hudson Valley. There is no direct train service from Rockland County to Manhattan. Rockland County has sued to stop the controversial toll. FOX 5 NY’s Richard Giacovas shares how people across the Hudson are coping.

First you improve Transit system then you can charge for service. Not the other way around.

Yet the same people who are complaining are the same people who will continue to vote Democrat over and over again, which will only guarantee that these type of policies will continue...

What you mean to say is Tappan Zee Bridge not that Cuomo Bridge. Let's get it straight it will always be called Tappan Zee Bridge

How is taking mass transit any different. Either way you're getting charged. Mass transit is'nt free.

I miss all the action NYC has to offer but I am glad I got the hell out of there back in 2006.

Ultimately you'll win them over by improving transit...but that'll be on all the transit companies.

Maybe the democrats should tax pedestrians who walk on the sidewalk instead or in addition to the tax

Remember when Gov. Pataki removed the Commuter Tax (signed at Rockville Center LIRR Station) and everyone in NJ, Rockland, Putnam, Orange, Westchester, Nassau & Suffolk exhaled (while NYC Residents working in the suburbs still had to pay)? Interesting. No place is perfect..everyone has to pay a price. Staten Islanders (have to deal with Ferry, or travel via NJ when Verrazano is shut down); Rockaways-Fort Tilden (have to deal with 15-20 min A/S Train, tolls (including Queens to Queens) or make Sunoco happy driving via 878 to 5 Towns). Goes with the territory of being there.

So glad I visited NYC in 2019. It’s become a place I have no desire to visit again
