Sage Donaldson
It is important to know how to cater your data applications to your audience. This is important in making information more accessible to people with specific interests and gives complex data concepts a standardized definition. Whether making metadata digestible to high level management or publishing dashboards meant for highly detailed analytical purposes, knowing the tools to cater various applications and data to different types of audiences is important in turning data into information.
Processing a Large Backlog of Cultural Resource Data
Gabe McGowan, Carrie Schmidt
AZSITE is a consolidated network of recorded prehistoric and historic sites and archaeological projects within the State of Arizona and a 40 mile buffer around the state. By 2020, AZSITE had developed a backlog of submitted data and, since then, a concentrated effort has been made to eliminate the backlog while keeping up with ongoing data submissions. This presentation will describe some of the high-level strategies and specific tactics we have used in addressing this backlog.
