This is not CNC - Pantograph PCB engraving

Two weekends it took me to make this :)
A pantograph, (or pantorouter) for use in hobby electronics. In this video I perform first test: engraving a simple PCB.

Please keep in mind, that the engraving bit I am using is not ideal for this, I have a proper one coming. But even still, I managed to get a workable PCB out of this. And it is really satisfying to do stuff by hand. No CNC needed :) - maybe except for printing out the template, lol.

I will do more tests with this once carbide engraving bit arrives, and have in plans more attachments for this ( it will be a surprise, I am not telling yet :)

PCB image came from this website: (Thanks!)

Please subscribe for more random electronics related stuff, and remember to like and share the video!

Very slick setup. I think the board came out just fine for the first go. Nice job.

In exchange for the stylus (the nail), you could use an actual pen or pencil on an erasable surface so that you can keep track of which lines and contours you have already routed!

Nice job.  I free hand simple circuits often and your first board is already better than anything I do.

To hold the circuit boards down, what about a vacuum table using some kind of perforated wood? The vacuum would also collect some of the dust produced.
