My brother has cp. He had a stroke when we were in the incubators. He’s actually the happiest person in this household.

I have mild cerebral palsy. My right side of my body is affected, i used to walk only on my toes since i was a child. Years later i had a surgery, now i can walk normally but my foot is still a bit tilted to the left.

My hand, sometimes i put in a fist, my parents sometimes want me to eat with my right hand to help me clutch my hand less. Also, it affects my learning a bit, sometimes i have difficulty following directions. Once in my English class at college, my professor had to explain an easy assignment 5 times.

She sat next to me ans explained how to do it. I said "i don't get it." then she would explain again, i would say the same thing. My classmates were telling me "oh come on miguel, this is easy man." when i finally got it, in my head i said;

"What do i need to do?"

I've had cerebral palsy since I was born. the doctor's predicted I would never walk, but I learned through therapy and that kind of thing, and now I can walk, run, jump and everything.so keep everyone with CP, it's possible :)

My sister has several cerebral palsy, she can't speak, talk, hear, eat, move; Things that most of us do almost everyday. We think we know she wishes she could do everything we do, she's been stuck on her wheelchair or bed for almost 18 years now and it hurts to see how badly she's suffering with it. We always talk about what how far she could've gotten in life without cerebral palsy, but we still live her unconditionally. On a daily basis we take her places so she can see a life without having it be stuck in our house or the hospital, she loves the look of the ocean because you can just tell from her expression, she likes going shopping with her carers (People who look after her for us when we can't; Like if we need to go out somewhere or we don't have enough time to take her to school they'll do all that stuff for us. It's hard on my parents.)

I'm not sure if it's a good idea to do research of my own illness cause it might scare me:/

My great aunt had the worst way of it and she doesn’t know how to talk but she’s beautiful I can’t believe it and she loves to laugh. And when she laughs it’s so beautiful and it makes you want to laugh. Although she has to sit in her bed she was supposed to live up to only 10 but she’s 77 I love her!

I have cerebral palsy and I'm in my 50s. There are not alot of Dr's in my part of CT that work with adults who have cerebral palsy. I was wondering if there is any information about how cerebral palsy affects older adults. We are living longer and I feel that this is extremely important issue that eeds to be addressed in the cp community.

My older brother has severe CP and requires constant care. I grew up with wheelchairs, dealing with seizures and proper tube feeding. My family has become the most loving, most resilient family ever. I love my brother fiercely and I wouldn't choose any other.

I has a rlly rare version of meningitis when I was 2 years old, and I was hours away from dying from it but I didn’t and I’m so lucky, the weird thing is that I had never had anything wrong with me after. Normally, you would develop cerebral palsy, brain damage or the loss of limbs but I was completely fine.
Isn’t that lucky?

I have cerebral palsy.

When I was younger, I wasn’t able to walk in a straight line, I could barely walk at all honestly.

I’m 11 and am still not allowed to cook at all because my hands shake way too much when holding any cooking equipment.

I have a tic disorder which causes me to make motions uncontrollably, is that similar to dyskinetic cerebral palsy?
