In the 1930’s, close relationships between Romania and Paris with Eugene Ionesco and sculptor Constantin Brancusi. Later in the 60’s and 70’s Romanian gallery owner Ileana Sonnabend had a big impact on art in Paris and New York

Fun fact about the Arcul de Triumf ( replica of french l'Arc du Truph): brides used to go there on their wedding night. They go away/get "stolen" from the wedding, by a group of friends, and and go to that place. Don't know what it suppose to mean. Last I heard about, it was prohibited to do it, after the Arc was restaured, but I am not sure about it. Pa pa!

Fun fact, Timișoara (the second city after București, in the west of Romania) is called The Little Viena. Until 1918 was under the Hapsburg and later Austro-Hungarian Empire and had a lot of Viennese influence, veri similar to what made București The Little Paris.
