What is the current output?!? I need 12v 4amps from 3.7v li-ion (yes yes I know that will draw huge current from 18650, they are 35a continuous batteries, no worries). Please help!

Excellent..want to know if remove coil from old computer power supply, diode, transistor. Also, 6 Supercapacitors 2.7 V 500 uf if input DC 12 V how much power will be output?

I think the current will be a bit higher if the voltage could be adjusted somehow by replacing the base resistor with a varriable one.

2k2 resistor will work better or a 5k linear potentiometer.

Changing to a smaller voltage and a larger microfarad cap, wouldn't make the current more lower and stable?

Dime con un circuito así puedo encender un circuito electrónico de bajo consumo, por ejemplo un circuito con LM 386, pero este funciona exactamente con 12v máximo, y en tu vídeo veo que a la salida arroja 25v, es el condensador el que limita el voltaje de salida. Me ayudarías mucho con tu respuesta, gracias.

Nice build. I believe the generic name of this circuit is called a (JOULE THIEF). Good to see you using Solder Flux. It helps in smooth fine looking, crack free Solder Joints. Why you didn't use thermal compound to help control heat dissipation? That Transistor gets hot. Also, really didn't need to cut the lead of the Chip, did you? Could you do a video on say 1.5 to 3 volts power in, to 14 volts out to charge a 12 volt 2 to 3 amp or higher lead acid battery? I would like to see you build a 3000 or higher, PURE SINEWAVE INVERTER / CONVERTER. Would you do a video on this? Thanks for the upload.

I just made this one with multimeter I got an output of 35v 0.175 a with 9v battery input... but when I put load example LED and motor it run slow and LED is dimmer compared connecting it directly to 9v battery... what happened sir?

You really maxed that Capacitor out didn't you? Maybe you should have used a 35 volt or higher. Also, shouldn't you have used a Capacitor with a lower ESR than the one you used? What do you think? Thanks for the upload.

This is joule thief circuit ;) It can operate from 1.5v battery down to around 0.7v
