I was debating between staying on my model o and buying a wireless replacement, so I decided to spend a little on a g304 and try the idea out. The freedom is great and now every family member is using one. I found myself liking the shape more than my model o so I'm not sure if I want to eventually upgrade anymore.

This is a video I’ve been waiting so long for somebody to actually make. So many times have I had to explain all of these things to people when they’re looking for mice that fit them as I’m the tech guy in my group. Thank you so much for making my life easier by just being able to share this video instead of explaining it all time after time.

It's all about the shape! As long as the weight is reasonable the shape is pretty much all that matters. I also like wired because I'm lazy and don't want to ever think about charging. I love a simple mouse like the G203 (or whatever shape best fits you) maybe paracord it and install after market feet and you're good to go.

I've used a G9x (and it's predecessor) for a long time and I still consider it one of the best simple mice, then I switched to a g900 chaos, which is one of my favorite mice ever made, since it allows wired or wireless, as well as customizable side-buttons (2/4/or none) and it's ambidextrous (which surprisingly makes it feel good even if you're right-handed).

But since I got a g600 for an mmo (to free up finger movement on the KB when you need to move and jump and use skills all at the same time), I've come to appreciate it so much more than any other mouse. I use it in games, for work, for everyday browsing, and even file operations; the third top button can act as a g-shift or whatever else you need, to effectively double the amount of commands. It's honestly tied with g900 for the best mouse I've ever used, and I've since bought 2 spares (cause from experience, things I like go out of production/stock faster than I can react). If there's one thing I really wish it had, it's the flywheel that both G9x and G900 have; it's inclusion would've made it my #1 bar none.

EDIT: I'd also add, I had the g502 as well, and it (and every other mouse with rubber-ish surface) is absolutely disgusting after a some use; that rubber crap they're coated with literally melts, and mine looks like I've ripped out a few holes where my fingers touched it all the time (claw grip here). If the shell is not made of plastic (or metal) I don't even look at it anymore. Heck, I'd pay a good premium if the shells/buttons were made of aluminium or similar non oxidizing metal.

Been gaming with a mouse/keyboard for 20somewhat years now and the few times I have upgraded my mouse or been forced to replace it, its always came down to ergonomics above everything else for me. And this is not just if the mouse is comfortable for my grip but also the button placements and even the scroll wheel.. you won't believe how many sucky wheels there are.

After that I look for "features" but honestly there's so much bullshit they're trying to sell us it's unreal :P so yes a tip guide like this is great for new people and or those that are unsure.

The main thing a lot of mice reviewers often forget is that for a lot of us a mouse isn't just used for that one gaming session a day, it has to be comfortable for more than that.

This is such a good video! Very practical and honest advise. Glad to see my mouse of Choice (Vaxee Zygen) get the highlighted on Advice #1. Keep it up Dimitri!

I have a Logitech M720 from Costco - branded as "Logitech Precision Pro Wireless Mouse". Normally $29.99 but I got in on sale for $19.99. It is a little heavy for gaming (135 g), but I love it for productivity. Very comfortable and a lot of options. I have the scroll wheel tilt setup to change virtual desktops left or right, and have two of the left side buttons setup for copy and paste.

I bought the Logitech g303 shroud after debating for weeks and it was absolutely worth it. Was using a Corsair glaive before and the 303 is so much lighter and wireless is just my favorite now

3:13 note that that part particular chart shows a wireless mouse as the top scoring but in reality the viper 8k beats it, ali of optimum tech included that in that mouse's separate review

I got a Razer Deathadder, mainly because it fits perfectly in my hand, and after 5 years can't be more satisfied, it's precise and comfortable. And as stated in the video, i tried the various DPI settings in the beginning, chose one, and been using it ever since.

Great content as always! I like smaller mice - so I can anchor my palm and move with the mouse with my fingers, so for work its a Logi Anywhere 3 and gaming Razer Orachi V2. I'm gonna ty try the Razer Viper Mini, as its got optical switches over the mechanical switches in the Orachi v2. I think I favour fit of the mouse over features. It's nice to keep it all the same brand (Razer in my case). Perhaps you'd get better with mix and match.

As someone who thought he'd never get away from the original Wingman Gaming Mouse I have now successfully transitioned to the MM720 and I absolutely love it. The cable is incredible.
I am very tempted though in trying the infamous MZ1 - just not sure yet if "wanting to try" is worth the price for me. They don't sell very well used here in my country so might as well buy one from somebody with the same idea/approach and not lose a lot of money in case I don't like it.

I love my razor basilisk v3. It isn’t the lightest but I love the grip and the extra buttons that I actually use

Went for the Logitech G604 because I used the G602 and I liked the heft and size for my hand. It's definitely not for competitive gaming but it's comfortable and very useful for work as well (side to side wheel scroll plus zero friction vertical scroll are amazing if you deal with a lot of documents and excel sheets)
