The Google Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro are going to make some people mad! Google seems to be keeping prices high, not giving a free Pixel Watch 3, and moving to a paid Gemini Advanced AI subscription service for phones that they will offer for free for a year, which you'll then be stuck paying for.

All the AI stuff seems gimmicky. I haven’t seen any feature that I’d pay a monthly or yearly subscription to. If that’s what they’re using to justify the price of the phone, no thank you.

128 go is not a flex anymore. All flagship level phones need to be minimum 256 with these prices. Honestly I agree with you about AI yes some of the ability is good but on the day to day average person probably will not use those features so banking on AI to boost the profile of the phone is not something for my decision in buying any phone

Google needs to realize why people like the brand. Affordable or free products/services that add value to their lives. They need to become like the Toyota Corolla or Honda Civic of smartphones. Just focus on being mildy affordable ($400-$700) while being dependable (fix the buggy updates). They could sell phones in mass with a reputation of being dependable and punching above the $$$ class.

I want nothing to do with advanced AI. I don't want a year of it free. I want a good trade in value and maybe a discounted Pixel Watch. I think the best route is to wait until the price drops which has been the story with every Pixel.
