HUL reported a 6% fall in standalone net profit for the fiscal fourth quarter, amounting to Rs 2,406 crore compared to Rs 2,552 crore in the year-ago period. Despite this, sales saw a marginal increase, reaching Rs 14,693 crore. However, the beauty and personal care segment experienced a decline of 2.7%.

The company announced a final dividend of Rs 24 per share for FY24, totaling Rs 42 per equity share of face value Re 1 each, after an interim dividend payout earlier in the fiscal year. Analysts had projected a profit of Rs 2,435 crore on revenue of Rs 14,913 crore, according to the average of nine brokerage estimates.

On April 24, HUL's shares on BSE closed marginally lower at Rs 2,260.05 apiece. Despite the current challenges, Rohit Jawa, CEO and Managing Director of HUL, remains optimistic about the company's performance. He highlighted their focus on operational excellence, brand investment, and long-term capabilities to drive growth.

Looking ahead, Jawa expressed confidence in the gradual improvement of consumer demand, citing factors like a normal monsoon and better macro-economic indicators. He emphasized the potential of the Indian FMCG sector, driven by rising affluence, under-indexed consumption, and a robust digital infrastructure.

To capitalize on these opportunities, HUL has embarked on a transformative journey titled 'Transform to Outperform.' This strategy includes growing their core brands, market expansion, premiumization, portfolio reshaping, and leadership in future channels.
