Oh my God...I'm so happy that you gave me permission! I was going to do it the other day but I thought don't have random anonymous guy's permission..

Jeremey Clarkson was right, it is fun to unplug Teslas, especially people who do this!

This is exactly what someone who would buy a Tesla would do

"Be nice to tesla. They'll make their products better as long as were not interferring" omg the matrix is a scary scary place.

Thanks for the advice on using the wet rag, will make sure to spread it around!

How long before they use the cameras to detect that and void warranties?

"Do not do this" and yet he did it. 😂

Then when it overheats, they’ll be quick to go on social media saying that Teslas are dangerous

Sir, the guy from YT told me I have his permission to remove your rag and throw it away....why are you hitting me!?!?

Seriously People please mind your business. If you have the opportunity to educate someone who is willing to be educated and receptive about why this is a bad idea, go for it. But don't go touching or throwing away people's property while they are charging their cars.

Sensor is just there because early versions didnt have them and the handles got so hot that people burnt themselves on the handle. There is another sensor in there for the wire itself too. Ill take my chances with the handle if it gets hot and blame no one but myself

Did he say, 'Be respectful to Tesla'?😂 Pure jokes!

Reason it matters is heat creates resistance, it takes one amp to push one volt thru one ohm of resistance. tricking the temp sensor can cause it to over amp an already higher resistance condition in the wire due to the higher temperature. Tricking the safety mechanism results in sending increased amps(electrical pressure, think of amps as water pressure in a hose) in an already electrically high pressure system with the added heat from more amps then safe further increasing resistance which could cause swelling in the battery cells or worse a cable catching fire and ruining the whole supercharger.

Well they are essentially cooling the cable the sensor it's on the tip because that's where it heats up.

Its almost as if it slows the charging speed down when it overheats because that could, i don't know, cause damage to the charger and/or vehicle??

I’m so glad he gave his permission to interfere with someone else’s vehicle.

Got the point... but... who are you? giving full permission to throw away the wet rag... need your contact info, so you can be contacted if anything go wrong by doing so... 😮

Tesla doesn’t want people damaging their CyberTrucks by tampering with the charging cable. You should only damage your CyberTruck in approved ways like driving it more the 26 miles, taking it through a car wash, touching it, parking it in the vicinity of raccoons, attempting to use the brake pedal, attempting to slow down by taking foot off of accelerator pedal, driving on any surface that is not perfectly level and smooth highway, turning on the windscreen wiper, using any of the emergency door releases, exposing it to any form of moisture, not having all four tires making contact with the ground at all times, installing the vault cargo divider, parking in the rain, letting the ambient temperature exceed 100°F, polishing the body panels to a mirror finish, braking on an intersection, tuning on off-road mode in a parking lot, etc
