BC officials predict record-breaking wildfire season will worsen this week

Several new evacuation orders and alerts are being issued across British Columbia as a result of ongoing wildfires and increasing temperatures.

Officials warn this could be the most challenging stretch yet of the province's wildfire season as more than 5,000 properties have been placed on evacuation alert in communities across the province.

Global News meteorologist Kristi Gordon explains how B.C.’s situation became so dire and what's expected in the forecast.

Please let us do something useful with 747 Boing fire rescue, and stop to eliminate with coffee cups to fight fire, 1 Boing 747 can do more then 24 small airplane and 10 helicopters, when we can get professionals to do the job? 😢

They are only called Wild Fires if they start naturally but we all know they are not all starting naturally .

Lightning causes the vast majority of firest fires.
We like to hear they are all caused by people but that is not the case.
A lightning bolt strikes with hundreds of millions of volts and tens of thousands of amps.
Of course its gonna start a fire.
If you are in the bush during a dry summer, and a lightning storm comes thru, you better get out quick.

MSF France should Just Transition out of Africa where they are not welcome. And Just Transition into Canada to assist Canadian people who are becoming Internally Displaced Peoples. IDPs. There are enough IDPs (homeless people) in Canada to give French humanitarians work forever. Building and operating IPD camps where Trudeau could help out when it is photo op day.
