On the 12th of April 2022, the SBTi launched the net-zero foundations paper for financial institutions.
The Foundations paper commences the SBTi’s Net-Zero Standard for Financial Institutions development process. This multistakeholder process is designed to produce a new Standard for assessing financial institution net-zero targets in early 2023. The Standard development process will incorporate the latest climate science and methodologies to drive change in the real economy and deliver solutions.
