It is pretty amazing as a time-saver. I had a job with models holding phones and one location was a gas station. There were multiple reflections on the pump surface. I initially freaked out when the client asked to have the reflections removed but then I used generative fill and it really just worked...(I did add some noise / blur)

Back then it was a hard challenge to remove people from photographs and it took some time. Now the youngsters nowadays don't know that struggles

I hate that generative fill is now limited with v25.0 and you need credits if you want to use them. Otherwise wait very long for it to process
