It’s a shocker that he didn’t become huge in the US as he would’ve easily had at least a dozen top 40 hits he is that damn good. A London boy who migrated to Melbourne at age 11 and ended up becoming a national treasure and living legend of Australian music history.

Ok, I came across this one a few years back when there was a full version of it with introduction of JF's achievements, nominations, awards etc. Anyway, maybe a little more background from me. I'm a kid of the 80's. For my birthday, I'm really not sure for which one but it's not important right now, I got a tape recorder. So whenever I had time to do this, I'd insert a blank tape inside, tune to a national radio station and wait. I'd push a record button every time I'd hear my favourite music. And in the 80's that really wasn't an issue. Back to the present: when I saw this particular live video for the first time I was in awe. The gradation from one single guitar player to the whole band, then the bagpipers, backing vocalists, goosebumps especially from 4:43 on. That backing vocal harmony... Oh my, every single musician on stage at that point did him justice. This is what I call a live show and I'm sure the crowd enjoyed it full time. I kind of envy every single one who attended that event. At that point I was tranferred back in my childhood 80's and my tape recorder. Sweet memories indeed.

I have loved this song ever since I heard it in the radio in the 1980s. Sat in front of the radio waiting for this song to be played so that I could eventually record it. And now I am sitting here listening to it again, still loving it so much. What a masterpiece. This song is meant for eternity.
