Valorant Comes to Consoles After All?

Nothing's solid, but Riot confirmed they're still prototyping Valorant on consoles. Though if it doesn't work out, we might be getting a different version of it, so they definitely want to make it happen if possible.

Console comp shooters without aim assist are going to tank if they're crossplay with PC, as the casual player doesn't want to get domed every time they turn a corner. Adding aim assist will inevitably break the game for the PC players as well.
They will be fine if they realize that the console versions will be fine if they're on console servers with aim assistance.

Make it. Just dont crossplay mnk with controllers. Console vs console, pc vs pc. For those saying controller is not competitive your are crazy. A controller does not aim for you. You still have amazing aim players and sucky aim players.

I think crossplay would ruin it, even if they had aim assist
Riot should probably just do seperate servers.

Don’t see how it could go bad on console as long as the vs stays within its platform. Ez. It can be just as competitive.

1:44 I think that competitive advantage she's talking about is Xim adapters. MKB would have an advantage but console games have always had some kind of Aim Assist so you combine that with a Xim and it's even worse. The System doesn't really matter as consoles have an equal ceiling/floor whereas you can add power to a PC. Also, the left stick movement would have to be tuned for movement, while strafing is immediate on PC with A and D you have a curve and deadzone with sticks. This means they'd have to add additional movement layers/penalties. If they can't do this as Valorant is now then making a another version might be their best bet.

They should make the game so pc players can friend console players but the party leader will go into their severs so the console players will go into the pc players severs allowing them to play together.

I think the they could just bring the game to console without aim assist, just like Rainbow Six, to keep the competitive aspect

Really wonder how Valorant would play on console. R6S and OW are fun, but if anyone remembers CSGO on the Xbox 360 it really didn't do too well. How would you counter-strafe? And Recoil control damn good luck lol. Would need some major tweaks to the core gameplay :)

I will play it if there is no aim assist for that reason i play r6, i like when your aiming '' naturally'' with no help.

A thing they could do if it comes to console is put a setting so you can only play with players that are on the same device your playing it on

I enjoy no aim assist on rainbow(console) makes me feel like I’m good because I outgun people. Turning is kinda clunky but it’s easier to control recoil than it is to snap to the same spot on console. Csgo pros have even said you don’t have to counterstrafe on valorant. All you would need is recoil control and snapping but that’s why you practice. I can tell you r6 console at the highest ranks is very competitive with people imitating what they see the pros do in terms of strats.

CS Go on console didn't do well. Now imagine this game add with recoil control, abilities and no aim assist. It gonna be a bad idea.
