They all have determination. I think it's obvious why.

when chara began to say "I AM" for a moment i thought they were gonna say "GOD"
alright tho, time for the theory list:
DT
humans
puppets for the player (even tho one is more coaperative than the other)
due to frisk mitosing from kris
plot
chara being the narrator possibly even in deltarune (it is a little different than the puppets for the player)

i would have said gaster shenanigans but even tho frisk can find many gaster related things it doesn't lead to anything

Kris, Frisk and Chara had the same DT that's why.

Kris can see Chara because they are heavily implied to fill the same role. Kris and Chara are both humans adopted by the Dreemurr’s both “out of place” being the only human, mischievous, and Kris will probably be manipulated past the point of no return in weird route, just like Chara in genocide. Frisk and Chara are just connected through the red soul. I can’t use this logic with Kris because their logic may work differently especially because monster souls are already shown to be extremely different so what’s stopping human souls?

They’re all connected by the Red Soul in some manner. Frisk and Kris were vessels for it, and Chara was spiritually tied to Frisk for a while, so now Chara is tied to it. Shame really, that they have to be possessed by a being like us that occasionally, uh, make frozen chicken using their friends to see them.

It’s because they both have souls of determination. Chara states in genocide that they were awoken by determination, and since the other human children who fell probably didn’t see them, that would mean they didn’t have enough determination to see Chara. (With your soul strengthened in genocide you get enough power for Chara to manifest instead of being invisible) if these statements are true, then that means it’s linked to determination (edit: based on chara’s actions in the vhs tapes in true lab, they probably had either determination or preserverance as their soul. If it’s determination, maybe that matters too.)

Ok, this is an interesting way to characterise chara. Making them the "lore dump" but still not omnipotent is so funny because of moments like these

The reason why we ca see chara is because in undertale we play through chara to guide frisk in geno or pacifist, in deltarune we have full control over the SOUL but its nor kris' so he can gain control for a bit, but main reason was because they were both controlled by the player
