Thank you for your insight! I really don't like discovering bugs in new OS, so I wait. I always wait on new electronics as well, simply because the price goes down and I really don't need or want a lot of the extra things you can do.
So, I will wait till you put out a video confirming all the major bugs have been fixed in 11. You da man!

Great video, good to keep these things in mind.

I just upgraded my (unsupported) Core i7 6700k system and I haven't run into any issues yet. Everything's working great!

I'm really glad you mentioned checking the dates of videos on bugs. I miss those sometimes and end up wasting my time.

Your always best to wait a few months with a new software release. Let them work the bugs out. I'd even say wait until the first major update ("service pack" or "build" update is released, and then upgrade, especially with OSes).

TY for that W11 review, Liron. I usually wait until a second service patch is released before jumping to a new Windows OS. Usually by then they have stuff ironed out.

So like with most all Windows upgrades, you should wait up to a year before upgrading if you want to avoid all the major bugs.

This is actually useful, thank you. Thinking about moving one laptop to 11 out of 5 machines (four have to stay right now on 10 for compatibility on corporate and school networks) and now at least I know what I would be getting into if I do it.

I upgraded to Windows 11 and it's working very smoothly for me. I'll admit when I installed it there was lag for an hour or two but after about a day it's working without lag. My gaming performance has not been affected in any way either. I have a Ryzen 9 and an RTX 3080

I've been using Windows 11 for about a week now, and the only real issue I had was making sure my computer was compatible, I was using legacy mode for booting. Once I got those issues fixed, the update was super smooth. I am using an AMD cpu and the game I play maybe runs 1-2 frames less under load. I have not noticed the search, file explorer, or networking problems, and I also use this computer for work. Overall I am enjoying it, and I'm sure most of the bugs and quirks will eventually be fixed.

I published a blog entitled: "All that Glistens isn’t Gold: Hold Off Upgrading to Windows 11"
In that blog I list 5 reasons to just stay put with Windows 10. Essentially, if it isn't broken then don't fix it.
