The Easy Way To Make Yorkshire Puddings

My Dad always makes yorkies that crawl out of the oven whereas mine were often doughy and dense. He showed me how he makes his and I have never looked back.

You will need oil/fat, 5 eggs, plain flour and milk. You’ll also need a whisk, a bowl and a muffin tin. You do not need scales or a measuring jug.

Heat the oil to 210 degrees Celsius in a muffin tin.

Whisk up the eggs in the bowl to break them up. Add flour and whisk till it’s a thick cake batter consistency. Whisk in milk till it becomes double cream consistency.

Pour the batter into the muffin tin and bake for 20 mins at 210 then turn down to 180 for a further 20 mins or until they feel light and dry.

That’s it!

I’ve been married for 48 years and have never mastered Yorkshire puddings! I now cannot wait to try these!! Thankyou. Also ferns grow like weeds in my garden! I assume they must spread. I’m always digging some out! Maybe because I live in Scotland and it much more damp 🤷🏻‍♀️

Oh, thank you for this excellent tutorial. I'm not much of a cook, but I think I would tackle these. My son in-law usually makes them for special family dinners, but I think he would love the help. 😊

In the States, I use canola oil for my Yorkshire puddings because I never have enough drippings and that works well to... also use Canola oil when I am making Toad in a hole and don’t have any dripping! Thanks for sharing! Yorkshire puddings are one of my favorites !

Lovely thanks Gayna. I’m just watching your current vlog (Vlogtober 2020) where you are making these Yorkshire puddings and I skipped over here to reacquaint myself with the recipe. I’ve just realised you are the same age as my daughter although I may have mentioned that already...memory...but there you are, you and Donna are the same age. She LOVES Yorkshire puddings, all because I gave them a go many years ago in New Zealand when she was so very young and we laugh about how she tried to explain them to me as she requested I make more - “you know Mum, those funny shaped things that taste so yummy”. Lots of love Gayna, I do love watching your channel so much 💖🇦🇺💖🇦🇺

My Yorkshire’s are The Bomb since I started doing them like yours 😁 I use bacon drippings though & just look at Bunny being so cute sitting by your side! 🐾
