I’ve had a full blown heat stroke. One of the things that happens is hallucinations. So make sure you stay hydrated and consider investing in ice pack vests.

Great video. Love seeing all the different species. I’ve been lucky this year. On my property this season I’ve seen: an all black timber rattlesnake, a bright northern copperhead, a few eastern hognose snakes, a bunch of baby eastern milksnakes, and tons of eastern gartersnakes. I leave them all alone. Here in NJ, the pit vipers are on the Threatened List due to habitat destruction, over collection, and are protected.

Great video as always. Walking around the desert at night, knowing what’s out there = No. 1 thing Paul ain’t ever doing. M butt is home, inside and in bed by 10pm, most nights. 😁 It’s so cool you guys do this. Best friend a Phoenix area rattlesnake is gonna have!

Life is good for Marissa ! She rescued a Spec, with unique coloration and pattern no less ! Watching a gal doing a job she loves is rewarding.

If that speckled rattler were a horse, I believe its pattern would be referred to as "loud." Sweet!

Had my first known interaction with a rattlesnake in the wild on a trail - Western rattlesnake in Spokane, WA. I have lived and hiked in their home ranges all my life, however never seen one in the wild.
Before your channel I had an extreme anxiety about any snake interaction. After being educated by RS, it was totally different experience than how it may have played out prior. We were walking on a posted trail and saw it hiking back to the car. It probably sensed us first, he was moving away from us further off the trail into the brush. We were fairly close to him and he just wanted to get away from us. Was able to identify it as a male from learning from RS. Thanks for doing what you all do to take care of these animals.

With all the talk about super high temperatures I was thinking it might be nice for the snake to have a little water when...Marissa does just that! Thank you for being so kind. ❤

I see a snake and I run for the hills, not Marissa, she says, "Holy Crap look how gorgeous it is". I love you, Marissa!!

Yes. To reiterate, keep shaded, bring lots of water. Know exactly where you're going, and let someone else know who will check on you when you should be back.

Since I follow your channel one thing that really amazed me is the size of the houses. Most of them are gigantic. Almost all have big pools and huge AC units.

The Speckled Rattlesnake almost looks like a cheetah pattern.
