You forgot probably the worst:
peace deals:
when bordergore comes
you carry your faction to victory but you can't take a single province because your braindead allies had higher casualities so they get more warscore
Worst thing is also when they free a Billion countries in africa and your game laggs
And in general late game, when you can only push with nukes against their deathstacks + countries like El Salvador get about 70 divisions and the game laggs so baaaad
+ Bonus: when you annex a puppet later in the game and you inherit their 2000+ useless division templates

Trades going from 50/50 (let’s say steel) then the next day 1/50 and you get a deficit of -49 steel. :(

I gave a naval invasion order on Iceland, from Greenland. Said it would take 70 days to prepare, waited 70 and they still did nothing. Waited another 70, nope. 700 fucking days and they were still doing nothing. 21 divisions of well supplied Canadian marines forget that they're supposed to be doing invasions. Meanwhile Italy comes out of nowhere and nearly takes Greenland, until the single Danish division there boots them off the island like they're nothing. So realistic.

When you check your equipment just to make sure you have enough and it's -68k Infantry and -700 tanks

Peace conferences and just the peace system in general is so bad

HOI IV is a trial and error game. You learn from your mistakes and do a better job the second time around.

Avoid thess issues by: invading all your allies
mass assault 10 width spam
never use frontlines to fight, just garrison the whole globe
