Alex Hirsch vs. Gravity Falls Censorship

While Gravity Falls was airing new episodes on Disney, series creator Alex Hirsch faced more than a few problems with the censors. Things he wanted to put in the show weren't allowed, so how'd he deal with it? It's time to take a closer look at some of the battles he fought!

BTW, Disney won’t allow a Satan themed restaurant for Gravity Falls, but allow a video game character *named* Satan for Wreck-It Ralph.

Dont forget how the famous line "I have some children I need to make into corpses" was made. Disney said that they weren't allowed to say "kill" so a much more frightening and quite frankly, more hilarious line was born.

Since the lesbian couple idea was rejected, Alex decided to make Mabel’s sweater rainbow colored.

Not only was the scene with the two old ladies cut, but the symbol on the Love God's necklace was changed. Also, another iconic censorship example is the scene of Dipper breaking Dippy Fresh's neck that Alex tweeted about.
