He's got the confidence of Yujiro, and he's smart enough to disorient anyone other than Chrollo with his mind games. He's the perfect chaotic neutral. He does what he wants when he wants, and that makes him terrifying. The scene where he unalived the leader of the Hunter Faction felt like a horror movie, lol

Hisoka is dope. He's a lil creepy weirdo but he's still such a cool character where his motives are unclear yet seems to be helpful to the main protagonists.

hisoka is one of my fav characters of all time, hes no good or evil, he follows a simple moral compass, do what i want at all times, dont be evil but never bend to other peoples wills just because of kindess, he was perfectly writen, he follows no plot, hes just existing as he wants to exist.

In 99 version, hisoka and Illumi helped all of the contestants on special stage 4 hunter exam. It showed that he actually have some sort of morality despite love killing the weak

That's why he is portrayed as the "Joker Character" and a hedonist. He can help the protagonists out a lot or he can get in their ways sometimes. Either way it's usually for his gain. So he cannot be classified as an "antagonist" or a "protagonist". He is my favorite anime character of all times 🖤
