My Experience With The Sennheiser HD 458BT Wireless Headphones.

I purchased these headphones for $99 from Best Buy. Here is what I think of them.

Thanks for mentioning the sound quality over the 3.5 mm jack. Almost no one mentioned it or haven't come across so far.

I just ordered these for $79 on sale for cyber Monday. Normally $199 they said. I did my homework on the best budget headphones and these were among the top.

A plus for these headphones is that 3rd party pads are available, ones that fit Sony MDR v6 etc or similar are inexpensive and some of them are quite nice they also give your ears a little more space. Perforated ones might help with the heat build up from these headphones.

Don't want to be over critical of his review but he is wrong the build quality is awesome. I normally break my headsets but I have 2 sennheiser one is 3 and half years old and they don't break even when my 166 kg frame accidentally sits on my headsets. The sound quality is good. For the price they are the best deal

i bought 2 bluetooth headphones at the same time and started listening to them pretty much at the same as well...had lots of difficulty at first getting both to properly connect, but eventually i did...my problem is that at some point early on, something generated a display on my screen--actually use smart tv as the monitor...which is really kind of fortunate. This display takes up a considerable amount of the picture in the upper left corner...i can't make it go away or even move--it's like glue to the screen...and so when watching videos it tends to cut off the heads of the people on the 'monitor'. even after i terminate use of bluetooth and listen to the sound generated by the tv, the display remains...i call it an audio display--maybe should say limited. can use 'play' icon ( triangle enclosed by a circle) to stop the video and of course the sound and click again will restart it...there are 2 more circles for and appear to be some sort of forward and reverse skip to the next chapter or video maybe...trying it now again...the skipping icons remain gray after the play starts and won't respond to clicking as the play icon does...any ideas on what gives? was about to say suppose you only use yours for cellphone...or maybe different on laptop...suppose i should breakdown and try watching a video on a cell or maybe connecting to pc monitor to see if it's a problem there...not sure who to go to for this? have the problem with bluetooth devices...so probably not a specific headphone problem...so computer issue? connecting to actual monitor might decide that question...some how messing with the OS? Have 10 now and was resisting going to 11, as microsoft is pushing so hard--but tempted to try '11' to see if that might eliminate the problem??? would appreciate any ideas that you might have ! thanks much, robert

My son got these for Christmas and the left speaker doesn’t have sound when using bluetooth but does when usung the 3.5m jack. Others have had this issue too by the looks of it. Anyone else ever experienced this?

Min. 11.40 the ambient mode you talk in the video its called sidetone. To avoid the messy ambient noise in a phone call, turn it off.

Great Review! Thank you. I bought these yesterday. As you mentioned these are not weatherproof (i.e. they don't have an IP rating), can I use them for a jog or in the gym? I do sweat a little. Not too much tho.

Hey man, I gotta ask because I've been having problems with getting the right headphones. How big do these headphones extend out? I've got a pretty big head and the Sennheiser PXC 550 IIs and they didn't extend far enough.

Only I know (if I dont mistake of course) is that 450 and 458 are the same, exept 458 have a "red lines"
Am i right ?
But, if exist difference beetwen model 4, 50 and 450 ?

I'm using 18 watt charger for this, is it ok? I'm using it & getting abrupt battery charging & discharging e.g. from 10% to 90% just in one minute & 100% after I switch on again. But even after 100% charging the LED doesn't get blue. I bought it yesterday. Is it defective product? Plz reply
