The First Stand Tournament 2025 has come and gone, giving League of Legends Esports fans an early look at how the top teams from each region stack up—all within the bounds of Full Fearless Draft. With no comfort picks to rely on, teams had to adapt, leading to unexpected results and bold new strategies.

Hanwha Life Esports defended their home ground at LoL Park and lifted the FST2025 trophy, cementing themselves as early favorites for MSI 2025 and Worlds 2025. But not everything went as expected. Zed made an appearance, CFO introduced a top lane rotation strategy, and international fans saw team compositions not used at this level in years.

Karmine Corp and CTBC Flying Oyster shattered expectations, outperforming Team Liquid and Top Esports, two teams that many believed would handle their matchups with ease. Instead, KC Caliste and CFO HongQ proved that rookies can deliver on the international stage, while their teams showed they can stand toe-to-toe with the best.

On the other hand, TES and TL struggled to execute when it mattered most, leaving them with more questions than answers heading into Split 2. They’ll need to regroup, adapt, and come back stronger if they want to claim their spots as international contenders.
