Don’t pick strong, go for hale, Robust herculean. Those are genetic, strong is not.

1. Intelligence traits are the best cogenital traits because they make for better heirs and better spouces
2. Fecund for life expectancy and fertility
3. Beauty traits increase fertility, diplomacy and attraction, so they make more children and your heirs are better
4. Physique traits (strong isn't inheritable, these are) increase health, prowess and attraction, not great for spouses but great for your heir
5. Albino is the most underrated cogenital trait. Its only downside is making people dislike you, but it's great for dread builds and making everyone terrified of you. Great for your heir. Also great roleplay

Damn. I forgot alliances even exist in this game. I always just marry my kids to myself or to eachother or to their cousins. The Eugenics instincts are too strong.

I think its totally unnecessary to go for lustful and fecund. Fertility is totally useless. It just costs a lot of renown to disinherit all of your sons and makes a mess of your succession. As a feudal ruler you need 1 good children, maybe 2 daughters for alliance. You don't need a fertility boost for that. Always go for the genius trait, focus that first. Than Herculean for the Health boost (the prowess boost is also great for the tournaments). The, ,beautiful" traits are not really necessary but should be mixed in to consecrate your bloodline.
Fecund is further bad because it extends life expectancy, which i think shouldn't be higher because characters get bad events and traits the older they get. My age limit was always 70 years which is most of the times easy to get with a herculean ruler. Aged characters loose traits, get incapable or have events that stresses them out.
So in short focus on genius (you want that always), than go for a trait out of the herculean tree (+the genius trait) and lastly mix in a beautiful (or lesser) trait to consecrate your bloodline). But the focus should be the genius trait.

Fertile, inheritable traits, and straight, then from there look for good personalities.
