With Valheim just being released for console (and me being the usual designated architect of the group) I can't wait to really dive into the building and see what kind of awesome structures I can come up with. These tips are definitely going to be used.

Tip for smooth slopes...
Stand on the low side, hold shift while flattening and aim progressively lower. This makes a smooth flat slope.

Thank you I am new to Valheim and was wondering how people were building these massive viking halls while I was living in a shotty shitshack held together by hopes and dreams. This will hopefully help me to build better structures, so again thank you.

How do you stop rotting from the rain? Or is just a thing that you're always repairing if you want an asthetically pleasing house

I’ve just picked valheim back up to finish up me and my buddies endgame plains base we never finished and your videos have been so inspiring and also just relaxing man. Thanks for making these. My buddy built your blacksmith house last year and I just finished modifying/working on it 10 minutes ago, so this is pretty awesome timing.

The builds you do are absolutely incredible and I am a huge fan of the cinematic building and showcasing of builds. It is great to be able to have these on in the background while working or doing anything really! I would say that, as a complete trash tier builder myself, I really enjoyed this video as well! I know that the two main issues with doing crazy builds like this in Valheim is that 1. They are extremely labor intensive with planning, building and editing and 2. Valheim has some sparse content drops as well. I personally would love to see you even go back through some of these videos and maybe do voiceovers where you explain just how you are creating some of these great features. If you do have the time, this could effectively "double" your video output (Say you release a cinematic, and the week after you release a duplicate video with the commentary, tips, things that worked and didn't, etc). But again, you would need the time in the first place haha! Either way, the caliber of builds on this channel are second to none, and I will always enjoy the fantastic content you all drop!

Legit video. Most Valheim YTers annoy me, but you were right to the point, your speech wasn't full of YT culture, and there was good video editing.
Well jobbed friend.

Tip number 1.. the snapping trick.. i have almost 1300 hours on valheim and that one is new to me. I always sat down to lower the crosshair. Very nice. Tip number 3.. building basement last.. I actually do the opposite, but great for someone that doesn't build well (yet). Awesome video.

I just started playing Valheim a few weeks back. I'm so glad you're still playing and making videos, because you make really good content. Funny thing is that I live about 30 minutes or so from their studio. Turns out, it's very small group of local college students (about 5 or 6 people) that are developing the game. They've been shocked and by it's popularity ... lol. So it's why they may take a little more time to get new content out. And yes, they do have more content coming very soon. So, everyone be patient with them. I'm so impressed with what they're developed so far and going to be sticking with the game, one, because it's really good, and two, because I like the idea of supporting a small, home grown game developer. It's exciting to watch them grow =) <3

I'm not a crazy builder, but I've spent a couple hundred hours. Somehow only 3 of these I knew, the first one is game changing

I’m a carpenter by trade and I’m having a whole new appreciation for building on this game rather than just whacking greylings 😂

Now what I want to know is how much time you spend chopping down trees 😂 😂

I have to say, I LOVE when you and all of the other content creators basically throw down a gauntlet, as if saying: "THERE...I did this! Now you try!" Challenging the rest of us to come up with better and better builds. Essentially making us better builders just by trying to do what all of you do, You and the others always make it look soooo easy. lol Love the builds and if it takes you a while to build and edit the videos, take whatever time you need. Don't burn yourself out trying to force a video out. I will look forward to seeing whatever you put out. They're always amazing. Thanks for making us all better builders. Cheers!

Tip 10, the way I describe it: it's not a bug that gets fixed by raise-ground; the terrain can only be moved so much up or down by the hoe from where it started -- if it isn't moving any more, it's gone as far as it can. Using raise-ground or pickaxe can then bump it a unit up or down, which the hoe then has a new margin for adjustments at that spot.

Spent 4 hours chopping wood and framing my house last night. It actually helps way more than you think.

Your video edits and building style are so smooth and clean. Love it

So a couple issues here

1. I was building a bridge over a giant river and noticed that my core logs that were touching the riverbed were taking weather damage, idk why but I ended up replacing them with stone then stacking the core logs on top, why is this?

2. Enviromental or weather damage, it isn't very clear on how this works as some core wood takes damage over time when not covered by a thatch roof and others like the palisades don't take any, so like when he mentioned using stairs as a sunroof, they would take constant damage over time right? Since all of my stairs that arent covered eventually erode over time during raining seasons.

3. Someone mentioned that you cannot buld furnaces or other things on wood and etc. But apparently it's fine with stone, is there a workaround or no?

4. How high can I actually stack the dirt when using the hoe, I wanted to essentially build an above ground dirt pool that lead from my 2nd/3rd floor and went out into the ocean, however the dirt wouldnt stack but halfway up.. what's my best bet to fix this?

I've played about fifty hours now, most of it has been building. I was having such a hard time, then I went to the black forest and smacked down a pine tree. Log poles have saved my life. Can't wait to unlock more and build even more grand structures! Thanks for the tips here, they're helping a lot.
