How far would you go to surf perfect waves with no-one around? Matt Rode is a surfer and journalist who’s dedicated his life to this dream. He’s gone where very few surfers have gone before him, logging his findings in his hand-written “sacred scrolls,” which he’d never shared with anyone…until now. Last year, Matt decided to help guide some of the world’s best surfers to a handful of these ultra-special yet wildly fickle waves, crossing his fingers that he (along with Surfline’s ace forecast team) had analyzed the charts well enough to find them at their good to epic best. The result? Four far-flung adventures, some excellent pitfalls, countless tubes, many fish, some barbecues and so much more. | @TeamONeill

Ep#4, “Where The Road Ends,” coming May 17th: featuring Jordy Smith and Soli Bailey.
Episode #1 drops March 15th, 10am PST on the Surfline YouTube Channel.
