If you're not a fan of this new feature and want to get rid of it, then you're in the right place. Stick around till the end of this video, and I'll walk you through the steps to remove the AI icon from your Instagram account.

First things first, when you open Instagram and head to your chat section, you'll notice the new Instagram Meta AI features popping up. And that AI icon near the search bar might be bothering you too. Well, we're going to fix that today.

Here's what you need to do:

Exit Instagram and long-press the Instagram tab.
Tap on the 'i' button, then select the 'uninstall' option.
Next, search for a trusted website for the Instagram APK.
Look for a version from around the end of March or early April.
Download the APK file from the trusted website.
After downloading, go to your downloads folder and tap on the Instagram APK file.
If you've uninstalled Instagram, you'll see an install option. Tap on it.
Log in to your Instagram account once the app is installed.
Head to your messages and notice that the Instagram Meta AI option is now removed.

You’ll eventually need to update. Found out how to search without using META AI. You type what you want to search like normal and where the return button is on the keyboard it switches to SEARCH. Don’t press the send button to AI
