Thank you for joining us on our adventures :)

Taking a bus to Bucharest from Budapest is a great way to get here while saving some money and seeing a little bit of the countryside. Once you’re here, jump right into the city to get as much out of it as you can, there’s something for everyone after all. We had a great time walking around, enjoying the scenery. We even took some time to enjoy the park.

I lived in Romania for several years and visited the country almost entirely. Bucharest is a charming city, it resembles Paris! It's worth exploring! You have visited very little, it is a wonderful city with special neighborhoods. Bucharest has many historical buildings with French architecture. It is much more beautiful and bohemian than Sofia! ROMANIA has many gorgeous, medieval cities, must-see castles and an amazing nature with mountains, forests, sea, delta and many wild animals.

A few notes from a Romanian born and raised in Bucharest:
- The "Roman Atheneum" is a famous concert hall and has one of the most impressive interior architectures in the city. No need to buy a ticket, just head inside and take a look, 5min max.
- If they entered the National Art Museum they would have encountered one of the most amazing collection of orthodox religious art in the world.
- The old city center is busier at night. It's full of clubs and discos that are open until 2-3-4AM. So if nightlife is what you're looking for, this is where you'll find it.
- Hanul lui Manuc is one of the oldest inns we have. Nowadays it is only a restaurant but a very beautiful one. Good place to stop for a coffee and a light meal in the inner courtyard.
- You can visit the Parliament building and the view from up top is amazing. However security is tight, and you need to reserve at least one day in advance.
- The cathedral you see in the final construction stages next to the Parliament building is going to be largest orthodox cathedral in the world. Just give it a few more years :).
- The Herastrau park is the biggest we have. And the most beautiful. However it takes a couple of hours to completely walk around the lake
- The "villages" is the National Peasant's Museum with replicas of traditional houses from all regions of Romania. There is a bigger one in Sibiu that I highly recommend if you drive through there, that one you can also film in it. They are geared towards kids and foreigners, we adult Romanians, know already how we used to live :).

at 15:51, when you said youre going to turn around, that's where the old village houses were, on the left is another small lake, after it are the houses. And they are amazing, 200-500 year old houses, not replicas. They were moved from all over the country, all the variety in one place because romania is divided in 3 regions all influenced by powerfull empires, the south of romania is Ottoman, the est is Russian, the west is habsburg/Austrian. To bad you couldn't find them. edit : Now i see you did :P

At 8:40.There is another fountain, about 500 m from there, that is the center of Romania (the place where all distances to different cities are measured from.) But as living in this city for 43 years, no one calls those fountains the center of Bucharest

I don't think that market was an everyday occurence, it was more like a weekend thing. They also had some good wine at the place where they were selling fresh juice :)

you are allowed to film, but not taking pictures or using the blitz, the light from the blitz damages old pictures
