This park was a little secret during the pandemic. The local police and border agencies (US & Canada) allowed people to meet in this park so local family & friends could still see each other. My son had a US girlfriend and he was allowed to enter the park from the Canadian side to visit her but he wasn't allowed to go any further and enter the US. His girlfriend was allowed to enter the park from the US side to visit my son but she was not allowed to go any further and enter Canada. While I don't believe it was technically legal, the police and border guards allowed these visits, were extremely polite and friendly but made sure that nobody actually crossed the border. It was great to see the two countries work together to allow this and all the smiles from the people that were able to meet at this park made it a worthwhile exception.

I got kicked out of Canada for a year for skating over at 3am with friends after skateboarding in Buffalo all night. They thought a cheese single wrapper was a weed bag lol. There was some real serious shit going on though like people legit smuggling stuff and I was just glad to get out once we saw all that. It was so awkward too they just said leave the station exit the chain door and cross back and follow the stubs instructions which was the one year ban.
