This is a public service announcement to be careful before you buy! In this video we test a $200 drone to see if it is worth the money. Sadly, it didn't perform up to our expectations, but we linked a better drone that we love below!

If there is money involved in any way, there is someone running a scam. With any aspect of life you can think of. There is always a lazy person looking for the easy way out at others expense. One has to do their own, independent research on anything they want to buy these days to make sure its legit. Honest channels like this are getting harder to find. My dad got a targeted ad on Facebook for this type of drone. He was so excited to show it to me that he asked me to come over early specifically for that.

It wouldn’t connect to my phone despite the app basically demanding I give it access to my camera roll (which I didn’t), it flew with a heavy list constantly and would disconnect from the controller entirely, flying straight in whatever direction it last registered. I have several drones and I’ve never seen any as worthless as this. I can’t even use it as a paper-weight, because my phone weighs more than twice the weight of this. These scammers prey on the elderly with targeted ads, “gift ideas” etc and Facebook pushes those ads because they’re paid to promote and look the other way. I’d lose no sleep if these scammers didn’t wake from theirs.

I just bought a $30 S96 drone from Amazon, it has the same camera quality as this but is a mini-drone. Came with two batteries, controller, extra props, prop guards and a carrying case.. all for $30. It suffers the same camera freezing that you experienced but it's a great beginner drone to practice flying.

The drone you recommend is $400 Australian! For $60 more you can get a DJI Neo and RCN3, way better (or just the Neo on it's own if you don't mind using phone as controller for $299). I wouldn't call that a budget drone for the price.

That was great you two. My kids and myself have been thinking about drones for the summer. Had a Deerc drone from Amazon 2 years ago 170$ no gps. Lasted a week.
Some of the ads are a complete joke and scam. This Deerc you suggest has is way better and in our price range. Thank you for the info🙏🤝
