He spent so much time playing the character he likely got a bit tired of tony. Now having several years away from the role I expect his is looking back on the Tony with more fondness and once again open to playing him. He invested more than a decade of his life to this one character. That is an almost unheard of amount of time for an actor to play one character in the movies.

Also, imo when Tony was the one to sacrifice himself and snap his fingers it just felt right and made sense for that fact that Tony was the one who like started the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the OG, so for him to be the one to fix everything and be the biggest hero in the end just felt very full circle for me. Was I fucking sad and heartbroken, of course, but did it make sense and make me feel fulfilled in how that’s how it played out, YES!

One thing I can't get out of my head is doctor strange multiverse of madness cause when he meets America Chavez she clarified that dreams that feel real are basically yourself in another reality in the multiverse and if you remember infinity war iron man tells Potts that he had a dream about them having a child named Morgan which 5 years later ended up happening maybe in another reality he had Morgan and maybe surviving endgame I don't know but with the multiverse it's definitely possible to bring him back hundred percent 👌🏼

The 2 actors i loved watching in the late 80s - early 90s were John Cusack and Robert Downey Jr- his performance in Chaplin was oscar worthy and an absolute tour de force. He went through tough times, as artists often do, but i was so pleased to see him return to form in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. He is a great, great actor, and he should know it by now, but i understand his lack of confidence in his own ability because being Iron Man made him a superstar rather than a pure "thespian" because of attitudes to comic book movies. Hope he realises now that it's just a "different" type of acting.

I think an important aspect is that Chadwick Boseman passed away. Doctor strange was supposed to be a substitute for iron man. And Black Panther substitutes for Captain America. They have their own simiarites but if you look at scenes where the two respectively are together you can see the torch being handed. And well Chadwick dying probably impacted that
