thank you very much! Waiting for it to arrive in the post, I'm off to see if you made more videos on it now. I'm particularly curious if you have anything on cura settings and if/when it blocks with filament what you do as I hear 3d printers do that.

I've been thinking about getting one of these. The following is from another YouTube review which was very positive, but had a few complaints. Could just be a lemon he received; don't know if everyone has these issues:

_"One of my biggest complaints is the gap on the hot end between the brass fitting at the end of the Bowden cable and the entrance at the top of the nozzle. Filament will get caught on the edge of the nozzle entrance pretty regularly so you have to take the filament out and cut it at a different angle or if it is really stubborn take the fan off and guide it through. I may try to find a small tube that can fit in there to reduce the gap._

_Additionally the limit switch on the Z axis is inaccurate. Three out of five times I home the axis it will be slightly different from the previous home. This leads to a lot of bed leveling. Hopefully Monoprice has fixed this in more recent batches."_

Just as the Monoprice i3 v2.0 is a rebranded Wanhao i3 v2.1, the Mini is a rebranded Malyan M200:

Unfortunately, it looks like no spare parts are available from them as their wiki is not good:

and their user forum is unused:

Hardware review of the Mini:

From Thingiverse.com:

Monoprice MP Select Mini E3D Hotend Adapter

_"The Monoprice MP Select Mini is the best 3D printer for the money, with one problem: you can't buy replacement hotends. Hotends are consumables, and eventually the hotend on this $200 printer will break._

_Right now, the solution to a broken hotend on this printer is to spend another $200 to buy another printer. Spending $200 to replace a hotend is absurd, and any company that does that will quickly go out of business._

_The solution? A 3D printed hotend adapter for the E3D V6. This should be the first thing you print on the MP Select Mini._

_The print has been tested, it works. You'll need some M3 nuts and M3 socket head screws (M3 x 20mm or thereabouts)."_

I'll add that you can't get ANY replacement parts for either of Monoprice's two most popular 3D printers (the Mini and the i3) from Monoprice, but their i3 is just a Wanhao, so you can at least get parts for their i3 from Wanhao or other sources of Prusa i3 clone parts.

So I just became a subscriber to your channel! You have some very knowledgeable things going on here!. So I am new to the 3-D printing world basically know nothing not even the software you need to slice and print. I seen this printer on Amazon like to get into 3-D printing. My only concern is the reviews that are so bad about this printer. That gets me so discouraged are not wanting to buy it. But then I read all the awesome cool reviews about this printer that gets me excited and want to buy one.. so I guess my question to you is should I just jump off the bridge and go ahead and buy this 3D printer lol.. and if I do get this printer what is the first thing I need to do to avoid the so many problems that I see on the reviews on this 3D printer!. I wish I had more friends that were into this kind of hobby maybe then I wouldn't feel so nervous on spending the money on something I know nothing about.. but then I'd see all the cool videos that you guys make on the information that make me a little bit more at ease on buying a 3D printer! But anyways thank you so much for the cool videos and information you put out to the 3D printing community. I guess if I get into some problems I can watch all your videos and figure them out for myself. Thank you so much hope to hear from you soon!. 🤘🤓🍻!

What is involved in getting the programming together to print? Sorry, I am just starting to look into these. Would you have any suggestions on getting into these for a beginner?
Thanks for the video.

Am I the only one who thinks for a product like this that one should fully read through the instructions first before plugging in the device? The way the video goes it makes you look like you don't know anything about the printer (i.e. the buildtak on the bed was a big giveaway). Shame.
